Prickly Pear Playscripts was formed in 2006 by publisher Peter Stone and editor John Aitken with the express aim of disseminating some of the best West Australian contemporary drama to a wider audience. In this way it is hoped that a useful resource will be created for theatre goers, the theatre industry, libraries and the general public. The first phase of the project will launch a series of combined playscript/programmes and they will initially be available in theatre box offices at affordable prices. Our first publication was The Ships Pass Quietly which opened at the Blue Room Theatre on the 19^th of July 2006.
