Fragmented

Suzanne Ingelbrecht

Fragmented is a startling new play about a former Croatian war veteran, Ivan Radicevic, living in Western Australia.

As soon as he arrives in his new country, flashbacks of the trauma that he has undergone and the huge loss of family, friends and possessions become impossible for him to deal with. He is taken to a hospital and with the help of the doctor starts to work through his problems.

Radicevic’s fragmented memory is re-forming under the care of his psychiatric doctor, Jim Hall, but the doctor’s private battles threaten to engulf both men. The play poses the question - are fear, power, prejudice and love the keys to freedom, or the walls of a prison?
